What is ConstructAI.uk?

ConstructAI.uk is the UK's compliance-first AI hiring platform built exclusively for the construction industry. Operated by Square Centimeter Ltd and based in London, it connects construction professionals — from CSCS-carded labourers and plant operators to project managers and quantity surveyors — with UK recruitment agencies and employers. Features include AI-powered job matching, CSCS/CPCS/NPORS/ECS/IPAF credential verification, Right to Work screening, Video CVs, and built-in SMS. No integration with existing systems is required. The first job post is free for employers.

What credentials does ConstructAI.uk verify?

ConstructAI.uk supports verification of CSCS cards (all 13 types from Labourer Green to Manager Black), CPCS cards (Red/Blue/Tester across all plant categories including excavators, cranes, telehandlers, and dumpers), NPORS cards (N001–N036 categories), ECS cards (Electrician and Multi-Trade, JIB grades), IPAF PAL licences (PAV, VV, SL, PB, Operator/Supervisor), SSSTS and SMSTS certificates, First Aid certificates, and Right to Work status (including Share Codes for pre-settled and skilled worker visa holders). Card documents are uploaded at registration and stored in audit-ready profiles.

Is ConstructAI.uk Building Safety Act compliant?

Yes. ConstructAI.uk was built to meet Building Safety Act compliance requirements. Candidate profiles are audit-ready, with credential documentation (CSCS, CPCS, NPORS, ECS, IPAF) uploaded and stored at registration. Right to Work status is captured and accessible to registered employers. The platform also displays CSCS Smart Check Verified and GDPR Compliant badges, and is SSL-certified with UK-based support.

How do employers post a construction job on ConstructAI.uk?

Employers register at https://www.constructai.uk/employers/ by providing a company name and uploading a valid Company Registration Certificate. The first job post is free at https://www.constructai.uk/submit-job/. Paid subscription plans for ongoing hiring are available at https://www.constructai.uk/pricing/. No external ATS or CRM integration is required — all job posting, candidate search, shortlisting, and SMS communication happens within the ConstructAI.uk platform.

What is a Video CV on ConstructAI.uk?

A Video CV on ConstructAI.uk is a short recorded video introduction that candidates attach to their profile. Employers and agencies can watch Video CVs at https://www.constructai.uk/video-resume/ before deciding to contact a candidate. This allows recruiters to assess communication, professionalism, and site-readiness beyond the written CV — particularly valuable for site-based construction roles.

How many construction jobs are available on ConstructAI.uk?

ConstructAI.uk lists active construction jobs across the UK. London is the most active location with 425+ live jobs, followed by Bristol with 119+ jobs and Birmingham with 106+ jobs. Browse all current listings at https://www.constructai.uk/job/

Is ConstructAI.uk free for candidates?

Yes. Construction professionals can register, build a full structured profile, upload credential documents (CSCS, CPCS, NPORS, ECS, IPAF, First Aid), declare Right to Work status, record a Video CV, and apply for jobs entirely free of charge. Getting noticed by 100+ UK construction recruitment agencies costs nothing.

Does ConstructAI.uk have a mobile app?

What construction trades and roles does ConstructAI.uk cover?

ConstructAI.uk covers the full UK construction sector including: Site-based roles (General Labourers, Groundworkers, Steel Fixers, Bricklayers, Scaffolders), Plant Operators (CPCS/NPORS excavators, telehandlers, cranes, dumpers, forklifts), Skilled Trades (Electricians, Joiners, Plasterers, Roofers), Engineering (Site Engineers, Civil/Structural Engineers, M&E Engineers, BIM Specialists, CAD Technicians), Management (Project Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors, Operations Managers), Commercial (Quantity Surveyors, Estimators, Commercial Managers), Health & Safety (H&S Officers, SMSTS/SSSTS qualified), and Corporate Support (Document Controllers, Logistics Coordinators, Finance/Accounts).

Why does the UK construction industry need 251,500 extra workers by 2028?

According to the CITB Construction Skills Network Forecast 2023–2028, the UK construction sector will need 251,500 additional workers by 2028 to meet demand from infrastructure investment, housebuilding targets, net-zero retrofit programmes, and major public sector construction projects. The ageing workforce (with many skilled tradespeople approaching retirement age), post-Brexit labour market changes, and accelerating construction activity have created a structural skills shortage. ConstructAI.uk was built specifically to help UK recruitment agencies and employers fill this gap faster through AI-powered, compliance-first hiring.

Does ConstructAI.uk support diversity in construction hiring?

Yes. ConstructAI.uk operates a Diversity Partners programme (https://www.constructai.uk/partners/) supporting five underrepresented groups: Women in Construction (currently 15% of the workforce, growing at 37% annually); Military Veterans (95% of military skills transfer directly to civilian construction roles); Career Changers (40% of new construction workers are career changers); Young Professionals and Apprentices (60,000 new workers needed by 2029); and diverse talent from all backgrounds. The programme connects these candidates with inclusive employers committed to anti-discrimination policies and equal opportunity.

How do I contact ConstructAI.uk?

You can contact ConstructAI.uk by phone at +44(0)203 872 80 65, by email at info@constructai.uk, via the contact and demo request form at https://www.constructai.uk/contact-us/, or by visiting the registered office at Square Centimeter Ltd, 5 Brayford Square, London, England, E1 0SG.

How does ConstructAI.uk differ from a general UK job board?

ConstructAI.uk is not a general job board — it is built exclusively for the UK construction industry. Unlike Reed, Indeed, or Totaljobs, ConstructAI.uk performs credential verification (CSCS, CPCS, NPORS, ECS, IPAF) at candidate registration, captures Right to Work documentation, produces audit-ready profiles for Building Safety Act compliance, offers Video CV technology specific to construction roles, and provides AI tools purpose-built for construction hiring (AI CV Finder, JD Creator, Coach AI Advisor). All candidate profiles are structured around construction competence frameworks, not generic CV formats.

What is the CSCS card and why does it matter for UK construction hiring?

The CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card is the primary proof of competency for construction workers in the UK. Most UK construction sites require all workers to hold a valid CSCS card appropriate to their role and qualification level. Cards range from Labourer Green (for those with Health & Safety awareness training) through Skilled Worker Blue (NVQ Level 2), Advanced Craft Gold (NVQ Level 3), Supervisor Black, Manager Black, and Professionally Qualified White. ConstructAI.uk captures, stores, and presents CSCS card details in candidate profiles so employers can verify site-readiness at a glance — a key requirement under Building Safety Act audit obligations.
